Unleash your imagination and bring legendary beasts, strange beings, and mythical places to life in your own wild creation!

Today, we are delighted to launch the Dark Cornwall Young Folklorist Online Art Exhibition!
This competition is an open invitation to young folklore and fantasy fans to create and submit a brand new piece of artwork inspired by folkloric creatures, mysterious beings, and legendary places from across the UK and beyond. From Black Shuck to Bigfoot, from dragons to UFOs, we want to see where your imagination takes you. Whether you work with watercolours, pipe-cleaners, plasticine, felt pens, clay, or anything else you can get your legend-obsessed hands on, we would love to see it.
Every submission will be shared across our social media channels and featured on a dedicated page on our website. Everyone who takes part will also receive a free copy of our Dark Folklore map. To enter, simply fill out this form, include your postal address, and do not forget to attach a photo of your artwork.
When photographing your piece, please try to make sure the image is level, face on, and taken in good lighting. Please also include your name and the name of your piece with your submission.
The competition will run until 17 April, and we will be sharing submissions every Wednesday and Saturday evening throughout the campaign.
This means a great deal to us for a very personal reason. Dark Cornwall Studio only exists because we once received a beautiful piece of artwork from a young folklore fan based on our Morgowr sculpture. That moment stayed with us. The joy and satisfaction we feel when young people are inspired to explore folklore and create art from it is beyond words. Supporting that spark of imagination is one of the most meaningful things we do.
We cannot wait to see what you create!
