Our Makers Market brings together an exceptional group of craftspeople, artists, and small makers whose work is rooted in skill, patience, and deep respect for material and tradition. As we look ahead to the Dark Cornwall Fête next October, we invite you to take time to read. more about the talent behind each stall.
Whether you are treating yourself or finding a meaningful gift for someone else, consider the hands that made it, the knowledge it carries, and the stories it helps keep alive. Supporting these makers before and during the fete is part of what keeps this creative community thriving.
Connie is the creator of The Forest Children, a collection of sculptural beings that are more than objects and feel as though they carry lives and stories of their own. These Pixies, Merfolk, and creatures seem poised to move when you are not looking, acting as quiet protectors of imagination and sparks of a magic many of us knew in childhood but have since forgotten.
Born from a deep connection to nature, folklore, myth, and the hidden realms that surround us, each Forest Child is shaped by reverence for the natural world and a belief that these stories and spirits still linger just beyond the everyday.

I am a Tarot reader, Pagan and witch with over twenty years of experience, offering readings, spiritual goods and handmade altar items in the heart of Salisbury for both new and established practitioners. I specialise in Tarot, oracle decks and witchcraft books from small and independent publishers, create practical Small Magics through accessible spell and altar kits, and proudly stock a wide range of locally made jewellery, textiles and magical artwork.
I offer readings on the stall, online and by private appointment as a Gold Certified Tarot Reader with the World Divination Association, and I am also a Bard in training with OBOD. My practice, which I describe as Small Magics or Mist Witchcraft, is shaped by Salisbury’s landscape and rivers, my academic background in Medieval History and Celtic traditions, and a lifelong connection to Pagan practice, including following in my grandfather’s footsteps as a Tarot reader. The name The White Witch of Wiltshire references the chalk landscape of my home and its ancient monuments, as well as a knowingly terrible pun on my surname.

Gina is a fibre artist whose work brings together hand-spun cotton, needle felting, and plant fibres, woven through with folk-inspired symbolism and a quiet sense of magic. Each piece is made slowly and deliberately, blending traditional textile processes with an intuitive, story-led approach to materials and form.
Gina has spent 15 years working as an art educator, collaborating with galleries, schools, and creative organisations across the UK. She graduated with a First from Edinburgh College of Art before going on to spend two years furthering her studies at the Royal College of Art in London.
Gina now travels the country exhibiting her work at fairs and festivals, sharing tactile, hand-crafted pieces that blend contemporary textile art and folklore.

I handcraft mixed media jewellery in a range of materials combining precious and semi-precious metals, resin, polymer clay and gemstones.
All my designs are my own and my pieces are usually one of a kind or very limited edition. I view my work as being in the alternative niche but I am quite eclectic as my pieces cover a range of styles from elegant gothic, fantasy, witchy and steampunk
