About the event
The Dark Cornwall Fête is a gathering for lovers of Cornish folklore, myth, craft and dark storytelling, set within the woodland surroundings of The Arborist at Killiow Estate near Truro.
Taking place on 20th March 2027, the Spring Equinox, the Fête celebrates Ostara and the return of spring, a moment when day and night stand in balance and the darker months begin to give way to light.
From 11am to 6pm, ancient stories will be brought to life through folklore creatures, live performance, fireside talks, droll telling, puppetry, workshops and our hand-curated Makers Market, before the day gives way to live music into the evening.
Blending folklore, creativity and shared tradition, the Dark Cornwall Fête is a family-friendly celebration of Cornwall’s legends, landscapes and living folklore, and a chance to welcome the turning of the season together.
