About the Festival:
The Dark Folklore Festival is an immersive journey into Cornwall’s rich, shadowed past, bringing together artists, storytellers, scholars, and enthusiasts to celebrate the region’s dark legends and mythic heritage. The festival features opening and closing rituals, exclusive sessions with masters of folklore and dark literature, live music and droll telling, a folklore parade, and an artist marketplace. Expect a dynamic blend of performance, scholarship, and community engagement.
Festival Aims:
To illuminate Cornwall’s folkloric heritage, foster connections within the folklore and arts communities, and create a space where ancient tales inspire new stories and cultural conversations.
Content for Younger Folklore Fans:
The festival will also include activities and content designed for younger folklore enthusiasts. Children can enjoy dragon and giant drawing classes, explore giant play things, dress up in costumes, and feast on yummy food. Plus, there will be plenty of treasures in the Local Makers Market to…

This includes admission to all sessions, experiences and to the Maker's Market. Food and beverages (alcoholic and alcohol-free) will be available via multiple stations on-site at the festival.
