Dark Cornwall at The Great Estate Festival

From 29 to 31 May, Dark Cornwall will be creating a magical woodland realm at this year’s Great Estate Festival.

Hidden within the forest, this immersive space invites festival goers to step away from the bustle and enter something more enchanted. At its heart will stand a life-size Megaloceros, the great prehistoric deer that once roamed these lands, reimagined as a guardian of the woodland.

Across the day, visitors can expect relaxed folk sessions with local musicians, children’s storytelling beneath the trees, and encounters with our stilted Owlman as he wanders through the forest to greet and enchant those who pass through.

This is not a formal stage or scheduled performance area. It is a place of atmosphere, discovery and pause, more like a gathering you might stumble across in a Dungeons and Dragons world. Somewhere to sit for a while, hear a tale, listen to music and experience a…
