About the event

We are looking for people to confirm their interest in supporting the rebuild of an incredible Bronze/Iron Age replica roundhouse at Saveock Water, just outside Truro.
For now, we are gathering expressions of interest from anyone who may be able to help. That could mean donating materials, coming along to support the reconstruction, offering practical skills, or helping in another way, such as videography, photography, documentation, or sharing the project with others.
Saveock Water is one of Cornwall’s most remarkable archaeological sites. Set within a small river valley, with fertile ground, natural springs, clay, peat, and nearby sources of tin, the site has revealed evidence of human activity from the Mesolithic through to the modern period. Over many seasons of excavation, archaeologists and volunteers have uncovered possible dwelling platforms, green clay floors, stake holes, flint tools, stone-lined drains, quartz features, ritual deposits, swan feather pits, and other extraordinary traces of…
